The Success Mindset
Programmed to See Others Develop that Success Mindset
From the time we are little, we see "successful" people in every place, and not just on TV and Magazines, but even in our local communities, even in school, do you remember those that got the best grades in the class? and how they were encouraged by the teachers? Well, these people were brought up with what I like to call a "Success Mindset", and many would have grown up with this mindset from a very young.
This "Success Mindset" is what leads many of these people to go from strength to strength, almost as if they could never go wrong.
Now, there is nothing wrong with people being successful at what they do, but the problem is that most of us were programmed to think that we could not have success like them as if this Success Mindset is something that pertains solely to an elite
And what happens as a consequence? There are many people out there in society who never came near to achieving what they could have achieved in life.
And why?
Because they were taught from childhood that life has to be that way for them and that they must live on someone else's terms because they can only dream to be like those "successful people". And the whole matter is rounded off with phrases like "lifes tough", or "it's a scary world out there" for those who dare question the way things are
But why should it be like that...
Mediocre Mindset to Success Mindset
Now, life has its difficulties, and it has its challenging moments no matter what choice you make, but why should that be reason enough to compromise at mediocrity? After all, the mediocre route much harder, more frustrating, with not a lot to show at the end.
So perhaps thinking outside the box, developing that "Success Mindset" may not be as difficult as previously thought, it has its challenges but can be reached with perseverance .
The First Step to developing that Success Mindset is to take the decision to go after those long desired goals, then the next stage is to be proactive, research how to do it, educate yourself with the right skills, and make a realistic timetable, this article about a proactive mindset may be useful.
And make sure you surround yourself with positive, realistic people who can help you reach your goals, and while there's no room for negativity, we have to keep focused on reality, so some "healthy pessimism" is acceptable.
Remember, everything takes time and persistence, it never happens in the click of a thumb. And when you encounter obstacles, be proactive and get good at finding solutions, there will be plenty along the way. This article may use as well.
Every problem resolved is a step to reprogramming the mind, undoing that Mediocre Mindset that has been ingrained in us, and replacing that with a Success Mindset, little by little.
The Journey towards the Success Mindset
I call it a journey because it takes time to change old thinking habits, and it only occurs on step at a time, but one thing I found was when I succeeded at the first step, I began to succeed at more steps, and I was able to take on more tasks, and achieve the desired results in other areas of my life.
But how did this happen? I didn't suddenly become more intelligent, nothing magic happened. No, all that happened was my mind had begun to reprogram itself towards succeeding, that's right, I could see the "Success Mindset" emerging in myself, and I was gaining more confidence, and as I developed more confidence, my capacities developed, like a snowball effect.
And this reprogramming of the mind is not for some elite few, its for anyone who chooses to do something better with their lives.
Changing from the Mediocre Mindset to the Success Mindset is not easy, but in the long run, it is more fulfilling.
