Mastering Your Mind Power: Kick Stress Or Stress Will Continue To Kick You

 What was the past six months like for you, or the past year? Was that period filled with enthusiastic exhilaration based on a positive outlook or was it filled with worry, frustration, and misery? Did your present philosophy guide you to stay focused on the things and circumstances you desire or was your mind brimming with apprehension, fear, and stress?

Far too many people spend most of their lives under the seemingly omnipresent umbrella of stress, never fully realizing the damage that is done to both their physical and mental health. Perhaps you are one of them. Stress is also a huge block to their having more of the lives they desire Apprehension, fear, pessimism, nervous tension, stress, and other negative emotions are like death knells to attempts to improve life outcomes.

It is my deep belief that no one wants to carry around those feelings and states of mind. No one likes to feel stressed out all of the time. Unfortunately, most people have been conditioned to believe that they are supposed to have those negative feelings. For them, that is just the way life is. Most of them simply have not been presented with tools or processes that they feel they can use to extricate themselves from such conditioning.

Now I am not an expert in telling you (or anyone else) what you need to do to better your life conditions. I am not inside your body. I do not know the myriad of thoughts that cross your screen of consciousness each day. I have not walked in your shoes. I can only share with you some of my experiences, what tools I have used successfully, the process for using them, and to state emphatically that my life outcomes have remarkably improved.

What any of this may or may not mean to you is entirely up to you. You must live for you. I have barely begun to overcome some of this stuff in my own life. One thing is clear, however. Stress and other negative emotions must be subdued and held at bay if life outcomes are going to improve.

One of the things I feel you should learn to do is relax your body-mind unit. Stress thrives on tension, especially nervous tension. Without the ability to relax, attempts at mastering your mind power and bringing it under your conscious control will almost certainly, allegorically, be bounced right back to you by your self-image. It will be like attempting to plant a vegetable garden without preparing the soil. The antidote for stress is the ability to consciously relax at will.

There are a number of books, audio CDs, and DVDs available at your local library to aid and instruct you in learning the enormously beneficial skill of relaxation. I strongly suggest you make a trip to your library, pick one and begin immediately practicing an exercise or exercises to find one that suits you.

When you find the one with which you wish to work, practice it, work with it until you can relax your body-mind and remain relaxed for extended periods of time. In truth your mind never relaxes because it never tires, is never nervous, and is never tense, but I think you get my point.

You will soon notice that when your body is relaxed, your mind activity will also slow down a bit. It is during periods of physical and mental relaxation that your self-image is best prepared to allow positive thoughts, images and affirmations to be accepted.

This I know for sure. You can claim or reclaim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.
