Mastering Your Mind Power: What Is Your Why?
In the articles I have written on this subject, I have shared some information with you primarily about how your mind works, how tremendously powerful it is, and the number barrier to mastering your mind power, namely, your self-image. I close each article with a statement of my belief in you because of the great power you possess in your mind.
Before discussing your WHY, let us first take a look at a few WHAT questions. WHAT kind of legacy do you wish to leave your children and other loved ones; a legacy of wealth or a pile of debt? WHAT kind of financial and other support to you want to provide to your significant others to help them live the lives they desire and to help them reach their full potential? In WHAT way or ways do you want to leave the world a better place than it was before you came?
Here now is the WHY question for you. There are probably several answers to this question. If you do not nail down at least one well-thought-out answer, however, there is a strong possibility that you will not have the staying power necessary to stick with your dreams and goals, whatever they may be. Challenges are certain to appear. The old self-image is sure to unleash its arsenal of habits upon you in an effort to stay in control.
The question is what is your WHY? WHY do you want to have financial abundance; to make more money or save more money? WHY do you want to live your dream; have the freedom to do what you want to do when you want to do it? WHY do you want to develop more of your talents or skills; to feel competent in more areas of your life? Why do you want to be honored and respected; to gain praise, popularity and admiration? WHY do you want to gain control over your life by mastering your mind power; to be the captain of ship of your own soul, to guide your own life?
Your quest for your WHY might produce more than one answer. Multiple answers, in this case, do not produce a hindrance. In fact, where your WHY is concerned, there is strength in numbers (up to a point). If you establish more than one WHY I strongly recommend you find a method to prioritize them. Your strongest WHY is the one that provides the strongest motivational drive to support your efforts.
Determining your WHY is not something you should do quickly or haphazardly. You should spend a few days, weeks or even months if necessary to be sure to get it right. You want to find the emotional energy that will sustain you through the challenging experiences.
This I know for sure. You can claim or reclaim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

Mastering Your Mind Power: Are You Ready?
Often when I ask people what do they really want to be different in their lives, I am surprised to hear them respond that they do not know what they want to be different. If I press them a bit, most come up with general answers like they would like to have more money, a better job, or a long-delayed vacation. When I then ask them why they think they do not have those things, they generally have a list of reasons. The number one reason is usually a lack of money.
Once the conversation turns away from what it is that they want to general topics, it is usually not very long before statements of negativity related to their circumstances creep into their comments. They seem to sense that I am picking up on the negative comments, and they will eventually say something that indicates that is just how the world is for them. For them, their life circumstances are all messed up. Yet, they do not know what it is that would clear up the mess for them.
Even though it causes me to pause briefly when people tell me they do not know what they want, I truly do understand. Most people get discouraged from seeking ways to fulfill their dreams and desires very early in life. Their dream-seeking is quickly turned into job-seeking by the apparent realities they observe in their environment. Once people get trapped in a paycheck to paycheck job situation, the demands of the job and of life, in general, make it less and less likely that they will allow themselves to be exposed to different life options.
Make no mistake about it, changing the course of your life is not to be taken lightly. My question to you is are you truly ready to do it? The good news is countless other people have made such a change. They took the same basic steps and used the same basic equipment that is at your disposal right now. They had to master their mind power. They had to learn how to change most of their habitual thinking patterns and align them with their new goals. In essence, they had to rebuild their self-images to conform to the new realities they decided to produce in their lives.
If you are ready to begin mastering your mind power but are in need of a starting point, here is an exercise that I found to be most helpful to me. Set aside some quiet time for your self, take out a few blank sheets of paper, draw a line down the middle of a sheet or sheets and begin listing on the left side of the page any beliefs, situations, habits, and conditions that you can think of that you do not want in your life anymore.
Be honest with yourself. This list is for your eyes only. You have had more than enough input or advice from others during your life. This exercise is about you working on your own individual life no matter how uncomfortable it might feel initially.

6 Self Improvement Steps To Ensure Your Success
If you have ever gone to a positive thinking rally you have heard how important it is that you improve yourself if you want to improve your success. In this article, we will look at a few self-improvement things you can do in your life.
1. First of all you have to want to change. This can be fueled by understanding what it is that you are striving for. Without possessing a strong desire to want to change you are wasting your time and will never totally achieved the success you deserve.
2. Secondly, identify something that you are good at and that you can build upon to improve yourself. This goes against the grain of people telling you to concentrate on things that you are not good at. If you can improve yourself by starting with something you are good at and making it better this will improve your self-image and help you when you attempt to improve other things.
3. Thirdly self-improvement and success go hand-in-hand when you are able to maintain a positive attitude even when things are negative all around you. To improve yourself you have to begin to see the positive in every situation.
4. Next be sure and schedule some me time. This is important because of all the things that can bog you down every day. You need to take a little bit of time and concentrate on you and doing things that you enjoy. Many people spend their whole lives doing things for others. You can not improve yourself if you do not concentrate a little bit on yourself first.
5. You probably cannot write an article about self-improvement and success without mentioning goal setting. It has been proven in the past that nothing happens until you write it down. Not only writing it down but committing it to memory by reading it several times a day. Write down goals where you want to be a long-term basis and on a short-term basis as well.
6. Analyze what you have accomplished and give yourself a pat on the back. Even if you have not achieved everything that you set out to do if you are taking steps forward, you deserve to recognize yourself for that. Then you can reorganize your goals and work again from where you are at now to where you want to be.
In conclusion, these are six self-improvement steps to help ensure your success. If you are always working on improving your success in your life will be easier to achieve.

How To Have Creative Thinking
People seem to have the misconception that only a select few are able to unleash a steady flow of creative genius. That is not true at all. The fact is, creativity is very much like a muscle that needs to be exercised in order to consistently give out great results. If you don't practice harnessing creative thinking, this skill will very much atrophy into inexistence. But keep working and this skill will soon come to you in a snap.
So how do you unleash your creative thinking? Well, the first thing is to become a human leech. No, we're not talking about just sucking the blood out of every living being available, we're saying that you should take in as much knowledge and learning you can find. Read everything available -- good and bad, and keep your mind open to the infinite possibilities of the universe. The more you know, the more you'll want to know, and the more your faculty of wonder will be exercised. Prepare to be amazed at little facts that add a bit of colour to your life.
Focus on a creative activity every day. Yes, it's an effort. Even doodling is a creative activity. Don't let anything hinder you. Mindlessness may be a creative activity, but for people who are just starting out to unleash a little bit of creative thinking in their lives, it is helpful and encouraging to have concrete evidence, that, "hey, what I'm doing is getting somewhere." So why don't you try it? Practice drawing for a couple of minutes each day. Bring out your old camera and start snapping photos like crazy. Keep a journal and make a point to write in it religiously. Another cool idea is to write by describing something with your five senses. Try to avoid vague adjectives like "marvellous," "amazing," and "delicious." Before you know it, you'll have built yourself a tiny portfolio, and you'll be amazed at the growth you've undertaken after amassing all those works of art. Who knows, you might actually take to liking those things you do every day. Pretty soon those things will become a part of you and you'll be addicted to these creative exercises.
Think out of the box -- or don't. Sometimes, constraints are actually a good thing. Limitations discipline you to work within your means. It enables you to be more resourceful. Creative freedom is great, but limitations enforce discipline.
Try something new every day and let your experiences broaden your perspective. Explore a new district in your neighbourhood. Spend an afternoon in a museum to which you've never been before. Chat up someone on the bus. Open up to the people around you. As you thrust yourself out of your comfort zone more and more each day, your sense of adventure grows and so does your zest for life. Think about it. When was the last time you did something for the first time? If it's been a while, I tell you, you've been missing out on a whole lot of experiences that could've added to your growth, emotionally, mentally, physically, or spiritually. Why don't you try bungee jumping today? Not only will you learn, but you will also have plenty of stories to share, enabling you to practice your storytelling skills and making you the life of the party.
Embrace insanity. No, not to the point of practically admitting yourself into the mental ward. As John Russell once said, "Sanity calms, but madness is more interesting." Exactly! Every creative thought was once deemed insanity by other "normal" people at one time or another. Luckily, that didn't stop the creative geniuses from standing by them. The thing is, sanity or being normal confines people to think... well, normally. Within limits. Creativity is essentially breaking through barriers. Yes, this includes the bizarre and the downright strange. I'm not saying that you yourself should develop a creative personality. That might go haywire. An example of a creative personality would be George Washington, who often rode into battle naked, or James Joyce, who wrote "Dubliners" with beetle juice for an intense fear of ink, or Albert Einstein, who thought his cat was a spy sent by his rival (or in thinking creatively in this case, the term could probably be "archnemesis.") It's important that your creativity doesn't get you detached from the real world completely.
I hope this article has inspired you to start thinking beyond your "limits." If you follow these steps pretty soon you'll be living a life full of interesting adventures. Unleashing your creative thinking will bring about a new zest for living life.
